Mission
To improve the cognitive and emotional wellbeing of adults in the community.

Vision
Every adult in the community will have the opportunity to embrace healthy brain aging.

Our approach to care at the Center for Healthy Brain Aging is achieved through a commitment to comprehensive assessment of the whole person (including medical, emotional, social, and functional well-being in the individual and family) and individualized care planning by an interdisciplinary team using valid, holistic, strength-based and innovative care strategies.

All treatment activities at the Center are directed toward:

  • Maintaining the highest possible level of well-being (thinking, emotions, activities and health) throughout the life of the person.
  • Minimizing suffering, including suffering due to the psychological and behavioral disturbances from advanced dementia.
  • Delaying the need for a nursing home or long-term care facility.
  • Minimizing the stress of caregivers and family.

These priorities are addressed through care activities and planning that is tailored to the stage of the illness and the individual needs and wishes of the person / family being served.
