Interventional neurology is a specialty that utilizes minimally invasive, image guided techniques to treat many of the most complex and dangerous diseases of the brain, neck, and spine.
|Dr. Randall Edgell, Director,Interventional Neurology Fellowship Program|
One of the primary objectives of interventional neurology at Saint Louis University to improve stroke care. In addition to our central hub at Saint Louis University Hospital, we staff the interventional neurology services at several hospitals throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area:
- SSM DePaul Medical Center
- SSM St. Clare Medical Center
- the John Cochran Veteran’s Medical Center
Education and research are vital components of the interventional neurology service. This site includes an overview of our training program as well as a link to our annual conference on “Acute Stroke and Cerebrovascular Intervention”. And because we strive to make the latest interventional technologies available to the Saint Louis Community, we participate in national trials of new and evolving technology as well as perform our own original research. We are very proud to be one of the premier training sites of interventional neurologists in the country.
We hope this site will serve as a resource for patients, health care professionals, and members of the Saint Louis community at large. We look forward to having an opportunity to work with you.
